Free Tax Services for Low Income

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

Since 2018, Royal Business Bank has provided essential free tax services for low-to-moderate-income (LMI) families and individuals to help prepare tax files.

  • 16 VITA Locations Within Six States (CA, NV, IL, NY, NJ, HI)

Workforce Development

To Encourage, Enlighten, and Empower youth to provide essential skills and knowledge to prosper in workforce development by.

  • Providing valuable feedback on resumes
  • Conducting One-on-One Mock Interviews
  • Provide Financial Literacy Workshops (ex. Budgeting, Credit and Debit Cards, How to Buy a Car, etc.)
  • Host Field Trips to Royal Business Bank to learn about the different careers in banking

Internship & Scholarship Program

Royal Business Bank has been a champion to support young people to continue their education. Alongside our Scholarship program, RBB has a Summer Internship program to allow students to gain knowledge of the banking industry.

  • Open to high school seniors going into college
  • 5-week Internship Program
  • Learn about the different careers in banking
  • Attend weekly Financial Literacy Workshops to gain knowledge on budgeting, buying a car, importance of credit reports, etc.
  • Participating in volunteerism 5 Scholarship/ Internship Winners receive $5,000 for college

Royal Business Bank is proud to give back to the communities we serve in our footprint, through the holiday season, helping to provide families with everyday essentials.

  • RBB adopts 10 families during Christmas providing them food, toys for children, and a Christmas tree

  • During the holiday season, RBB team members will donate toys to fulfill wish lists for at risk youth

  • RBB provides Thanksgiving meals to low-income families and individuals

  • In partnership with American Red Cross RBB team members donate blood.

We are thrilled to continue with Royal Business Bank’s Summer Internship and Scholarship Program for incoming college freshmen.

We have expanded our program to include participants in RBB Assessment Areas including California, Nevada, New York, and Illinois. During their 5-week internship at RBB, they will learn about banking as a whole and gain an understanding about what banking is. They will have opportunities to participate in volunteer activities and workshops.

At Junior Achievement’s Finance Park, volunteers led students through a simulation where they became “Adults for the Day” having to make financial and budgeting decisions.  Volunteers helped students through their budgeting process offering advice and sharing own experiences.

Royal Business Bank hosted a field trip for students from Amino Compton. Students were able to learn about various aspects of banking such as Credit, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and Human Resources (HR). Students came up with a product and had to develop a logo, business plan, and marketing strategy. They then had to present their idea in front of a panel of judges who gave them feedback.

In response to the LA wildfires, Royal Business Bank (RBB) donated to organizations like YMCA and United Way Los Angeles to help those affected by the tragic events. RBB employees in Los Angeles area donated essential items to Ketchum-Downtown YMCA and Chinatown Service Center (CSC). Bringing smiles and happiness to those affected by the fires during these trying times.

In partnership with IDEAL CDC, RBB hosted a food drive to help feed low-income families and provide them with a Thanksgiving meal this Holiday season. We were able to prepare upwards of 150 Food Bags for families in need from all the employees donation!
